Helping Trumbull County Survivors Wage War Against Breast Cancer

How you can help

Join our war against breast cancer

Since 2011, This Means War Against Breast Cancer has donated more than $40,000 to local breast cancer survivors, all thanks to our volunteers, sponsors, business partners, friends and family who have donated their time, talent and money.

Each year we have seen the need for financial help grow for our local survivors who are dealing with lost wages and increased out-of-pocket medical expenses, which makes our work more important than ever and our need for volunteers and donors greater than ever. Would you be willing to help us make a difference for a breast cancer survivor?

Please see below for a list of opportunities to join our fight against breast cancer. We appreciate any and all help! Thank you!

Sincerely,
The This Means War Against Breast Cancer Team

Become an Event Sponsor

Businesses seeking to make an impact in the community they serve while gaining exposure to hundreds of potential new customers will want to become a sponsor of This Means War's 3-on-3 basketball tournament and Chinese Auction that's held each October. We offer a variety of packages and donation levels and will work with businesses to craft a customized sponsorship package to fit their needs. Call us at 330-647-5600 for more details. View our 2017 community partners on our Sponsors page.

Join Our Allies

We know not everyone can become an event sponsor, and have come up with a way to recognize those who support us in big and small ways. Our "Allies of This Means War" wall, which is displayed at our annual fundraiser in October, recognizes those who made a monetary or in-kind donation of $25 or more. Become an Ally today by clicking the "Donate" button below.

Other ways to make a monetary donation:

Mail: Send your check to This Means War, P.O. Box 223, Southington, Ohio 44470.

Bank: Make a donation at any Huntington Bank branch in the name of TMW Breast Cancer Inc.

Every dollar of your tax-deductible donation is put toward helping breast cancer survivors with their out-of-pocket medical expenses. Our board members and volunteers are not paid.

Donate your time and talent - or an auction item

Whether you have an hour a month or just 20 minutes a day, we can use your help! Below are a few areas where we have an immediate need for volunteers. Please stop back as this section is updated throughout the year.

If you can help, call us at 330-647-5600 or email us.

Volunteer Opportunities

Help us spread the word: The more people we can attract to the event means more money for our fundraiser beneficiary. If you can help with hanging event fliers and/or posting lawn signs, let us know! Please also like and share our event announcements that are posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Auction items: We aim to feature more than 100 high-quality items in our annual Chinese Auction and could use help collecting items. Check out our Pinterest page for ideas of baskets you can make yourself (or we can assemble it for you). And please let us know if there's a community minded business owner who wants to donate a tax deductible item or service to a good cause.

Clerical helpers: We can use help addressing and mailing letters, making phone calls, entering information into our databases and sending emails. Supplies and instruction will be provided if needed.

Event setup help: On Friday, Oct. 13, we will need help setting up for the Chinese Auction at Southington High School. Start time yet to be determined.

Event Day help:
On Saturday, Oct. 14, we can use a variety of helps, from those keeping score for the basketball games to Chinese Auction basket carriers to child care workers. More specific details will be posted as the fundraiser approaches.
